OHSAA releases 2025 volleyball tournament brackets for area teams

The Ohio High School Athletic Association held its draw on Oct. 5 for the upcoming volleyball postseason tournament.

Here’s where area teams landed:

West Holmes, the 15th seed in the Division IV East 2 District, will open at No. 1 Meadowbrook in a sectional final. The winner will advance to play either No. 10 Cambridge or No. 11 Morgan in a district semifinal. No. 4 St. Clairsville is in the other half of the bracket.

District semifinals will be Oct. 21 and the final Oct. 23, all at to-be-determined locations.

Hiland and Garaway are in the Div. VI East District.

Hiland, the top seed, will open at home against the winner of No. 7 Newcomerstown-No. 10 Crooksville in a sectional final on Oct. 16. No. 3 Buckeye Trail also is in Hiland’s half of the bracket while No. 2 Shenandoah, No. 4 Monroe Central and No. 5 Garaway are in the other half.

The Lady Pirates will open at home against No. 6 Fort Frye in a sectional semifinal on Oct. 14. The winner will advance to play at Shenandoah in a sectional final on Oct. 16.

District semifinals will be Oct. 20 and the final Oct. 22, all at to-be-determined locations.
