Nashville TOPS member achieves KOPS status

TOPS1573 Nashville met March 4 and celebrated a member becoming a new KOPS.

Leo Tope reached his goal weight for two consecutive weeks.

Tope also was recognized as the best weekly KOPS.

Geneva Pringle presented the program, choosing an article from the November/December issue of TOPS News titled “Feeling Sad? — Identifying and Treating Seasonal Affective Disorder.” The article discussed treatments including cognitive-behavioral therapy, light therapy and antidepressant medications, noting treatment combinations vary for each person depending on contributing factors.

The club meets at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Nashville Global Methodist Church, with weigh-in at 5 p.m.
