Millersburg Lions Club launches endowed fund to support long-term community service
New partnership with Holmes County Education & Community Foundation will sustain scholarships and local initiatives for years to come
For more than 70 years, the Millersburg Lions Club has been a familiar and trusted presence in the community. Whether you’ve stopped by their concession stand at the fair for their famous French fries or admired the Christmas lights they hang throughout town each winter, you’ve likely seen their work firsthand.
Beyond these visible projects, the Lions Club quietly serves Holmes County in countless ways. They assist residents in need by helping cover the cost of hearing aids, glasses and eye surgeries. They create and maintain the Holmes County Heroes veteran banners, award scholarships to East and West Holmes students pursuing higher education, sponsor local Boy Scouts and youth programs, and contribute to important community initiatives.
These efforts are made possible through the dedication of Lions Club members and the generosity of supporters who give through donations and fundraising events.
The Holmes County Education & Community Foundation announced the Millersburg Lions Club has established an endowed agency fund to ensure long-term support for these charitable programs. The fund will provide ongoing resources for projects such as the Millersburg Lions Club Scholarship for graduating seniors from East and West Holmes school districts pursuing higher education, as well as other community-focused initiatives.
This new endowment allows anyone in the community to join the Millersburg Lions Club in making a lasting impact. Contributions to the fund will help sustain the Lions Club’s mission and strengthen local causes for generations to come.
