Love Center serves 294 families in August
Food pantry logs more than 400 visits, distributes 33,000 pounds of food with help from churches, businesses and community donors.
A total of 294 different families came to the Love Center during August. Some families came in more than once, making a grand total of 401 visits. Food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank was 22,311 pounds, and food donated by businesses, churches and individuals was 11,496 pounds. Volunteer hours served at the Love Center totaled 863.
Food and cash donations from churches and ministries included Gateway Fellowship, St. John’s Church of Walnut Creek, St. John’s Lutheran Church of Millersburg, St. John’s Women’s Ministry of Millersburg, St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Millersburg and Zion Reformed Church of Winesburg.
Food and cash donations from businesses, organizations and clubs included Ace Hardware, Berlin Natural Bakery, Der Dutchman, East Holmes Family Care, Emma Cates Crust Bakery, Hillcrest Orchard, Hillside Custom Meats, Holmes County Home, Jitters Coffee House, Kauffman Bakery, Kokosing, McDonald’s in Millersburg, Meadow Made Farm, Miller’s Custom Vending, Mrs. Miller’s Noodles, Mt. Hope Health Store, Walmart in Millersburg and Weaver Produce.
Food and cash donations from individuals included Michelle Alexander, Jeremy Allison, Nancy Bridenthal, Ray Casdorph, Elaine Coblentz, Nancy Coblentz, Kay Earney, Debra Eckelberry, Kayleen Elliott, Linda Heim, Susan James, Sue Kauffman, Carita Keim, Rachel Miller, Steve Miller, Bill Morrison, Betty Mullet, Arlie Rodhe, Jack Rottman, Karen Troyer, David Yoder, Ervin Yoder and seven anonymous.
Memorials included Leonard Jorz.

Cash contributions for the general fund can be sent to P.O. Box 31, Millersburg, OH 44654. Food donations can be dropped off at the Love Center at 1291 Massillon Road, Suite A, Millersburg, any Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
