Lakeville Lakers 4-H Club elects officers
The Lakeville Lakers 4-H Club met recently with Cash Allison leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Rylee Porter leading the 4-H Pledge.
During the meeting Clover Buds had a game of dice bingo while 4-H members participated in the name game.
The club earned $500 for assisting with cleanup after the Beef Preview. Members with livestock projects were reminded of two upcoming opportunities to complete their Quality Assurance Training. Club dues remain $10.
Three members launched the year’s first round of individual presentations. Shyanne Pierce spoke on How To Stay Organized in 4-H, Phillip Small presented How To Make a Simple Paper Airplane and Christian Small demonstrated How To Solve a Rubik’s Cube.
New club officers were elected as follows:
—Cole Porter, president.
—Derek Coleman, vice president.
—Sierra Allison, secretary.
—Katelyn Coleman, treasurer.
—Becca Miller, health leader.
—Harlie Curry, news reporter.
The club voted to sponsor two 4-H awards at the Holmes County Fair again this year and committed to helping with cleanup duties after the Ultimate Showdown at Harvest Ridge May 30 through June 1.
Advisers Sabrina Yoder, Lexi Ogi and Bonnie Porter provided important updates, reminders and upcoming dates.
The next Lakeville Lakers 4-H Club meeting will be April 28 at 6 p.m. at Ripley Church.
