Household hazardous waste collection June 20
The Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Recycling District will host a pop-up household hazardous waste collection event on June 20 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Wayne County Fairgrounds.
Accepted items include the following:
—Automotive fluids and car care products such as oil, antifreeze and fuel injector fluid.
—Cleaning supplies and other household chemicals.
—Fluorescent bulbs, tubes up to 8 feet.
—Diesel, kerosene and gasoline, limit of 10 gallons per car. Containers must be closed tightly and will not be returned.
—Mercury-containing devices such as thermometers.
—Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and fertilizers.
—Oil-based paint (no latex paint).
—Aerosols.

You must have an appointment, remain in your vehicle, provide a driver’s license, and sign an affidavit certifying the waste was generated in a household and was used for residential purposes only.
This is by appointment only. To schedule online, go to www.timetorecycle.org/hhw-appointments. Residents also are welcome to make an appointment at the Canton Recycle Center, 742 Schroyer Ave. SW, Canton, Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
