Holmes library has July lineup for all ages
The Holmes County District Public Library announced its lineup of events throughout July for children, families and adults.
The 2025 Summer Reading Program, “Color Our World,” is in full swing and runs through July 19. The program features reading challenges for all ages, along with opportunities to win prizes. Participants can register at either the Holmes County Central Library or the East Branch Library.
Weekly Family Storytime will be held Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. at the East Branch Library on July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. Children age 2-5, accompanied by an adult, can hear themed stories and participate in all-ages activities.
At the Holmes County Central Library, Storytime will take place Fridays at 10:30 a.m. on July 11, 18 and 25. The sessions include stories, songs and rhymes for children age 2-5 with a caregiver. Immediately following Friday Storytime, the Little Learners Playgroup will run from 11 a.m. to noon on the same dates. This play-based program for children up to age 5 promotes early literacy and social development. Snacks will be provided.
On Wednesday, July 2 from 1-3 p.m., kids can visit the Holmes County Central Library for an afternoon of painting, creative writing and drawing during Creation Stations.
The Kids Foam Party will take place Tuesday, July 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the Holmes County Central Library. Kids should come in swimsuits or old clothes and bring a towel. Space is limited, and registration is required.
On Saturday, July 12 from 11 a.m. to noon, children are invited to read to a
certified therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines during the Paws to Read event.
