Holmes DD plans trio of summer events in June
The Holmes County Board of Developmental Disabilities will host a lineup of community events this June.
The first event, a picnic and walk at Hipp Station, will take place Saturday, June 7 from 12:30-2 p.m. at 62 N. Grant St., Millersburg. Snacks will be provided, and attendees are welcome to bring their own food. After socializing, guests can take a walk on the local trail. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to Saturday, June 21.
Later in the month, Holmes DD invites the community to a casual bowling night at Spare Time Lanes, 39 Logsdon Ave., Millersburg, on Saturday, June 21 from 5-6:30 p.m. Participants can play one or two games for $4 each, with shoe rental available for $2.50.
Rounding out the month’s activities will be Video Game Day for teens and adults, scheduled for Saturday, June 28 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Duncan Theater & Event Center, 110 N. Main St., Killbuck. Holmes DD will provide TVs, projectors and some game consoles, but attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite games and systems.
For questions or to receive text alerts about upcoming events, call or email Devon Fortune, Holmes DD community relations worker, at 330-674-8045 ext. 315 or dfortune@holmesdd.org.
