Holmes County names winners of anti-vaping billboard design contest

West Holmes senior Emma Eberhard’s artwork will appear on a county billboard promoting tobacco awareness

The Holmes County General Health District congratulated and thanked the Holmes County youth who participated in its recent Anti-Vaping Billboard Design Contest.

The purpose of the contest was to engage youth in advocacy against tobacco use while increasing community awareness about the dangers of vaping, especially for youth.

Winners of the contest were awarded Visa gift cards for their designs. The winning entry was submitted by Emma Eberhard, a senior at West Holmes High School. Her design will be featured on a Holmes County billboard in the upcoming months.

The Anti-Vaping Billboard Design Contest is part of the Tobacco Youth Action Plan, which aims to address current tobacco and nicotine use among youth in Holmes County through youth and community partner engagement. Goals of the Youth Action Plan include increasing community awareness, improving access and utilization of resources for youth nicotine cessation, increasing the knowledge of Holmes County youth on the risks of nicotine use, and reducing youth access to tobacco products.
