Hiland basketball teams cruise to dominant victories

Hawks roll past Lexington and Claymont on the boys’ side, while Hiland girls notch lopsided wins over Claymont and Green.

Senior Caleb Yoder poured in 17 points to push Hiland past Lexington 68-40 in a nonleague victory.

Hiland picked up a 68-40 win over Lexington in nonleague boys basketball action Jan. 6.

Caleb Yoder (17 points), Caleb Mishler (15), Ryan Zerger (15) and Alex Miller (nine) paced the Hawks.

Hiland rolled to a 77-33 win over Claymont in Inter-Valley Conference play Jan. 3.

Mishler led the Hawks with 24 points. Miller added 17 points, Zerger chipped in eight points, and Henry Schlabach and Yoder both scored seven.

Girls basketball

Hiland defeated Claymont 49-33 in an IVC clash Jan. 5.

Macy Mullet (13 points, five assists, four rebounds), Reagan Zerger (10 points, six rebounds) and Perryn Mishler (14 points) paced the Hawks.

Hiland picked up a 58-18 win over Green in nonleague action Dec. 30.

Evie Mast and Zerger (four rebounds, three assists) each scored 16 points to lead the Hawks. Mishler added eight points, Mullet dished out nine assists and recorded four steals, and Sienna Immel pulled down five rebounds.
