Friends of the LPL program to explore sketching and writing about nature
Join the Friends of the Loudonville Public Library for a session on nature journaling on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m., led by Kate Peresie.
Nature journals of different types will be demonstrated. Learn what to include in a journal and try your hand at observing and describing in words or a sketch an item found in nature. Bring paper and a pencil (regular or colored) if you have them.
Peresie, BS, MEd, is a retired college professor. She is an Ohio certified volunteer naturalist, an education program volunteer for Richland County Park District and an artist with a penchant for nature journaling. She received the Environmental Education Council of Ohio’s Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2023.
The meeting will be held in the lower-level meeting room of the library and is free to attend.
