East Holmes Board of Education accepts retirements, approves contracts and supplements

The East Holmes Local Schools Board of Education met for a regular meeting Friday, Sept. 19 at the Central Office.

The board did several things during the meeting:

—Recognized the following Hiland-WKLM Student of the Week recipients: Greta Mullet, Aug. 25-29; Adleigh White, Sept. 1-5; Landon Troyer, Sept. 8-12; and Claire Yoder, Sept. 15-19.

—Accepted the following resignations: Jinell Roll, kindergarten teacher at Winesburg, retiring at the end of 2025-26 contractual year; Karen Roloff, first grade teacher at Chestnut Ridge, retiring at the end of the 2025-26 contractual year; Rayma Christine Feikert, aide at Berlin, effective Sept. 12; and Sherri Mullet, first grade teacher at Berlin, retiring at the end of the 2025-26 contractual year.

—Approved Patrick Miller as a long-term substitute teacher for the 2025-26 school year.

—Approved a one-year limited contract for the 2025-26 school year for classified personnel Esther Raber, paraprofessional (aide), effective Sept. 2.

—Approved the following supplemental positions for the 2025-26 school year: Kari Kaufman (LPDC Committee), Angela Yoder (LPDC Committee), Jason Weigman (LPDC Committee), Casey Travis (LPDC Committee), James Luneborg (LPDC Committee), Darren Blochlinger (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD), Jon Wilson (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD), Bonnie Brown (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD), Casey Travis (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD), Tyler Renner (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD), Michael Schaaf (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD), Caryn Rubio (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD), Launie Shaw (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD), Heidi Olinger (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD), Jennifer Menoel (Standing Joint Committee for Evaluation & HQSD),

The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Oct. 17 at the Central Office.
