The Uhrichsville Democratic Central Committee has appointed Barbara Colvin to fill the vacant Council at Large seat through Dec. 31, 2025.

The position was vacated following the resignation of Steve Patterson.

Colvin also was selected to appear on the November ballot to fill the remainder of the unexpired term, which will run from January 2026 through December 2029.

Colvin is employed by Dollar General Market in Uhrichsville.

“She seems very interested in helping to solve problems and issues in the city,” said Martha Campbell, chair of the Uhrichsville Democratic Central Committee.

Colvin was to be sworn in at last Thursday’s council meeting.
