The Tuscarawas County Public Library System’s Bookmobile will visit communities across the county this summer, offering books, DVDs, games, Wi-Fi and more to residents in outlying areas. The mobile service will make weekly stops in multiple towns from June through August.
“The bookmobile summer stops are an excellent way for the library to reach customers in the outlying parts of our service district,” Assistant Director Brian Herzog said. “We bring the library to you by offering materials for checkout like books, DVDs, games, Wi-Fi and more.”
Visitors can register for a library card and sign up for the library’s summer reading challenges while browsing available materials.
Weekly stops will take place Mondays through Thursdays at various locations including community parks, churches, ball fields and farmers markets. The schedule is designed to reach residents throughout the county including towns such as Mineral City, Dundee, Baltic, Stone Creek, Dover, Port Washington, New Philadelphia, Midvale and others.
The Bookmobile will run on the following weekly schedule:
—On Mondays stops include Somerdale’s Marinatha Bible Church, Warren Township Community Center, Atwood Dari Bar, Sandy Valley Estates, Sandyville Community Park and Baltic Community Park.
—Tuesdays bring the Bookmobile to Dundee Ballfield and Ragersville Elementary School.
—On Wednesdays stops are scheduled at Grace Community Church in Stone Creek, the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market in Dover, and biweekly in July and August at the Port Washington Farmers Market.
