Another Lake Township Chamber of Commerce MorningCONNECTIONS road trip and ribbon cutting took place Wednesday morning, March 18, at Angelique’s Vintiques, 887 Edison St. NW, Hartville, near Comfort Suites. Owner Angie Chapman hosted the event celebrating the store’s new location.

Store hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The store is closed Sundays and Tuesdays. The phone number is 330-261-7493, and the business can also be found on Facebook.

Chapman began collecting antiques and vintage items as a hobby that steadily grew into a business. What started with renting booth space in antique malls eventually led to opening her own shop in 2021. The new location has nearly doubled her space, allowing her to move out of more remote locations and bring multiple vendors together under one roof.

Angelique’s Vintiques is now located along State Route 619 (Edison Street), a main east-west corridor in Hartville. Chapman said she is excited about the improved visibility, noting that her previous location was more of a “hidden gem” that could be difficult for customers to find. Despite that challenge, she built a loyal customer base through word-of-mouth and strong reviews.

As business continued to grow, Chapman began looking for a space that offered better exposure. When she spotted a “For Lease” sign at the building that previously housed The Eclectic Rose, she knew it was the right opportunity. With her husband’s support, she made the move, closing the previous location at the end of December 2025 and reopening Feb. 1 in the new space.

Angelique’s Vintiques has expanded into a larger, more visible Hartville location, offering a wider selection of antiques and vintage items from multiple vendors.

The new store features more than 4,400 square feet and includes about 40 vendors, filling the shop with a wide range of antiques, vintage pieces and collectibles. From small curiosities to large statement items, the inventory includes primitives, vintage farmhouse décor, midcentury modern pieces, vinyl records, furniture, glassware, military items and more.

Chapman also shared the story behind the store’s name and logo. Angelique is her given name, while “vintiques” is a blend of vintage and antiques. The wagon wheel in the logo reflects an early success in the business, when she sold 30 wagon wheels in a short period of time.

Angelique’s Vintiques is part of the Hartville Antique and Thrift Trail, encouraging visitors to explore multiple local shops. A trail map is available through Discover Hartville.

Customers have praised the store’s “great selection of items at reasonable prices” and its wide variety of antiques. Many also note the organized layout, which makes it easy to browse, and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere created by Chapman and her vendors.

With its expanded space, diverse inventory and strong community support, Angelique’s Vintiques continues to grow as a destination for antique enthusiasts and shoppers looking for unique, affordable vintage finds.
