SHERIFF’S REPORT
March 30 — Shots were fired at a deputy during a traffic stop on Cadiz-Dennison Road. The suspect fled and was pursued until the vehicle was disabled on U.S. 22 near Hopedale, where the suspect again fired at law enforcement. A manhunt lasted several hours until the suspect was cornered near Mine and Sinfield roads. The suspect died following a third officer-involved shooting. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is handling the case.
March 30 — Deputies and EMS responded to Annapolis Road for a deceased person. No foul play was suspected.
March 30 — A report was taken regarding a child custody issue. Parties were referred to their attorneys.
March 31 — Ronald Lillie Jr. was cited for no operator’s license and defective exhaust following a traffic stop on Freeport-Tippecanoe Road.
March 31 — A deputy spoke with a North Township property owner regarding a theft.
March 31 — Deputies responded to U.S. 250 for a disabled semi-truck. A tow truck removed the vehicle.
