The Adena Lions Club will present its 74th show, “Across the USA – The Lions Way!,” at 7:30 p.m. April 17 and 18 at Buckeye West Elementary School. This year’s production celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with a coast-to-coast musical journey filled with patriotic pride, comedy and community spirit.

The Adena Lions Club continues its long tradition of service, with the annual show remaining its largest fundraiser. Proceeds support vital local initiatives such as providing eyeglasses, assisting food pantries and sponsoring youth programs, as well as global efforts including disaster relief, measles vaccinations and eye research through Lions Clubs International.

“This year’s show is a celebration of America — its music, its stories and the people who make our community strong,” said Lions President Chuck George. “We’re excited to bring everyone together for a night of pride, joy and entertainment.”

Audiences will enjoy a musical road trip featuring classics such as “Rocky Mountain High,” “Walking in Memphis,” “See the USA in Your Chevrolet,” “Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly” and many more. The show also includes comedic favorites and patriotic moments that highlight the spirit of the nation.

This year’s production includes several special highlights, including a tribute by Adena American Legion Post 525 honoring service and sacrifice, the return of the West Elementary Singers bringing youthful energy to the stage, a cast of 35 performers accompanied by a live house band and a milestone moment as longtime bassist Brian Dawes steps into the spotlight for his stage and singing debut after 16 years with the band.

Show Director Lion Dustin Kinsey said, “From the mountains to the heartland, this show captures the beauty and spirit of America. Our cast and crew have poured their hearts into creating something truly special.”

Admission is $10, with children under 12 admitted free. The Adena Lions Club invites the community to join members for a star-spangled evening of music, laughter and celebration.

The Adena Lions Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month. Lions clubs are groups of men and women who identify needs within their communities and work together to meet them. For more information or to get involved, email adenalions@comcast.net or visit the club’s Facebook page.
