Harrison Central bowlers honor seniors, split boys matches
The Lady Huskies posted two wins this week, defeating Bridgeport and Barnesville
The Harrison Central Husky bowling teams honored their seniors this week before facing the Bridgeport Bulldogs at JR Lanes in New Athens. Seniors recognized were Aiden Pettit, LJ Mitchell, Sophie Bland, Kimberly Eickleberry, Braylee Thomas and Mercedez Cooper.
The Husky boys split their matches, defeating Bridgeport and then falling to Barnesville the following night at JR Lanes in a makeup match rescheduled due to weather.
Senior Aiden Pettit led Harrison Central against Bridgeport with a 444 series. Aaden Albaugh added a 413 as the Huskies won 2029-1569.
Barnesville followed with a 2303-2049 win over the Huskies. Colston Kirkpatrick led Harrison Central with a 339, while Pettit rolled a 338. Wyatt Durbin and Albaugh also topped 300 with 330 and 322, respectively.
Barnesville’s Keegan Martin led all scorers with a 432. Martin also bowled a perfect game this season against Union Local.
The Lady Huskies posted two wins this week, defeating Bridgeport and Barnesville.
Against Bridgeport, Mercedez Cooper rolled a 283 and Sophie Bland added a 268. Braylee Thomas contributed a 266, and Kimberly Eickleberry rolled a 229. Jaylie Byers posted a 204 single game. Harrison Central won 1667-1205.
Harrison Central also defeated Barnesville 1798-1682. Jaylie Byers led the Huskies with a 347, followed by Tayla Thompson with 343 and Braylee Thomas with 297.
The junior varsity teams also competed against Bridgeport. The Harrison Central boys won 1371-1269, led by Brady Zeroski, who rolled a 206 game and a 371 series. The Lady Huskies won 786-755, led by Olivia Dulkoski’s 317 series.
