Church
Women United, under the leadership of Christa Citola, coordinate the churches
providing soups, pies and kitchen workers. Members of The Fellowship of
Christian Athletes provide additional support with workers from local high
schools.
Churches providing soups and
pies for this luncheon are Roscoe United Methodist Church and Coshocton Church
of the Nazarene. Each week a choice of two
soups, a selection of pies, and cheese cubes donated by Pearl Valley Cheese
and carrot and celery sticks are on the tables. A suggested donation of $5 is appreciated to help defray
expenses.
Any additional money at the
end of the six Lenten Luncheons is used to purchase clothing and shoes for
children suggested by Salvation Army. This is the primary mission project of Church Women United.
Parking
for the event is available in the parking lot adjacent to the church at the chapel entrance door. Additional parking
is available in the city parking lot near to the church.
In
the event of inclement weather, cancellation information will be available on
WTNS Radio and will be available as early as possible.
