River View swimmers shine at home invitational
Boys win team title, girls place second as River View finishes runner-up overall
The River View boys swimming team won the River View Swim Team Invitational Jan. 17, held at the Janet Jones Mulligan Natatorium. The boys team consists of Kyle Roach, JT Allison, Dustin Gregory, Thomas Vu, Wyatt Ferenbaugh and Jason Fox.
The River View girls swimming team placed second at the invitational. The girls team consists of Britany Hammond, Natylee Milici, Chloee Adams, Riley Gottardi, Lily Grewell and Jillian Johnson.
The River View swim team placed second overall, missing first place by two points.
JT Allison placed first in the 200-meter IM and first in the 400-meter freestyle. Kyle Roach placed first in the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter freestyle. Dustin Gregory placed first in the 100-meter butterfly and second in the 100-meter breaststroke. Thomas Vu placed first in the 200-meter freestyle and second in the 50-meter freestyle. The boys placed first in both the 200-meter freestyle relay and 400-meter freestyle relay.
Lily Grewell placed second in the 200-meter freestyle and first in the 100-meter breaststroke. Britany Hammond placed first in both the 50- and 100-meter freestyle. Chloee Adams placed second in the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter breaststroke. Riley Gottardi placed first in the 100-meter butterfly and 100-meter backstroke. Natylee Milici placed first in the 200-meter IM and second in the 400-meter freestyle. Jillian Johnson placed third in the 100-meter freestyle. The girls placed first in both the 200-meter medley relay and 200-meter freestyle relay.
