Ridgewood students bring 'The Addams Family' to life
Spring play set for April 17-19 at Ridgewood High School with a goal of selling 1,000 tickets
About 40 Ridgewood Local School District students are involved in the spring productions of “The Addams Family (School Edition).” The play will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18 and at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 19 at the high school.
Haley Evans said they chose this show because they always strive to select a show that best showcases the talents and personalities of the students.
"This cast truly shines in these roles,” Evans said.
The cast for “The Addams Family” includes LJ Grimmett, Charlotte Seibert, KJ Stoffer, Preslee Wallace, Clay Hamilton, Sophia Bluck, Braden Romine, Jensen Cunningham, Jacob Waite-Blackwell, Emily Maple, Audrey Tubbs, Lillian Creachbaum, Noah Smoulder, Javen Miller, Jonah Butz, Ethan Crawford, Tristan Sheaffer, Phoebe Grimmett, Lucy Bahmer, Oceana Carter, Vayda Dickerson, Astrid Ely, Kail Jones, Lily Jones, Skyelynn Schlabach, Baylee Smith, Piper West and Abby Wilkin.
Evans said, “This show is incredibly funny, full of energy and gives our performers the chance to bring big characters and comedic moments to life. At its heart it’s a story about family, and we get to bring to life a meaningful and entertaining show for our entire community.”
The students have a ticket goal of 1,000 tickets. If that goal is met, Evans, Ms. Collins and Mrs. Folkert will spend a school day in full "Addams Family" costumes.
“We are also having a costume contest raffle,” Evans said. “If you come in 'Addams Family' or Gothic costumes, you can get your picture taken on the set after the show and be entered in a raffle to win a Wednesday LEGO set.”
Presale tickets are available at ridgewoodperformingarts.ludus.com or by calling the high school office. Tickets also will be available at the door.
