RHS girls win, RVHS falls to Sheridan
Ridgewood pulls away from Sandy Valley while River View drops road loss
Ridgewood pulls away to defeat Sandy Valley
Ridgewood used a strong second quarter and balanced scoring to earn a 44-33 girls basketball victory over Sandy Valley.
After a close opening quarter, the Lady Generals took control in the second period, outscoring the Cardinals 14-5 to build a 22-12 lead at halftime. Ridgewood maintained its advantage throughout the second half to secure the win.
Alaena Huff led the orange and black with 15 points, scoring 11 of those in the second half. Taylor Hahn added 13 points to give the Lady Generals a one-two scoring punch.
Sheridan cruises past River View
River View lost 58-11 to Sheridan in varsity girls basketball action.
Sheridan controlled the game from the opening tip and built a commanding lead en route to the win.
For River View, Elaina Brenly and Kortnee Mickle each scored four points in the loss.
