Emmett Mizer Scholarship deadline nears
Garaway, East Holmes and Ridgewood graduates must apply by April 30 for financial aid
High School graduates can receive financial assistance in furthering their education through the Emmett Mizer Scholarship fund, but the application deadline is approaching.
Graduates of the Garaway, East Holmes and Ridgewood school districts qualify for the scholarship if they are enrolled or accepted at an accredited college, university or technical school.
Students with family among the membership of St. John Lutheran Church of Baltic also may qualify, regardless of where they graduated high school. The Emmett Mizer Lutheran Foundation of Baltic also awards grant money. Further information and applications for scholarships and grants for the 2026-27 school year can be found online at mizerfoundationofbaltic.org.
Applications must be postmarked by Thursday, April 30. Call Rose Thomas at 330-231-5649 with any questions.
