Coshocton County records 28% voter turnout in general election
School board races decided for Ridgewood and River View districts as children services levy renewal passes narrowly
There was a 28.28% voter turnout for the Nov. 4 general election in Coshocton County with 6,101 of 21,570 registered voters casting their ballots.
Very few contested races were on the ballot. Three ran for two open positions for the Ridgewood Local Schools Board of Education. Alan Folkert and Lacey Rettos McCombs won the positions over Frank R. Mathews. Four ran for two open positions for the River View Local Schools Board of Education. Charlie Wright and Minday Ann Duncan were voted in over Kylee Landerman and Cord Stottlemire.
For levies, after several tries and different tactics, the children services levy was passed as a renewal. The yes votes were 3,118 compared to 2,933 no votes.
