Conotton Valley Board accepts resignation of treasurer Denise Ketchum
Ketchum to join Carrollton Schools; interim agreement allows continued part-time service to Conotton Valley
The Conotton Valley Board of Education held a special meeting Thursday, Oct. 23, after the cancellation of the regular October meeting due to a lack of quorum.
The board entered executive session immediately after opening the meeting and reconvened in regular session after 43 minutes.
One action taken at the meeting was to accept the resignation of Treasurer Denise Ketchum. Ketchum has accepted a position with Carrollton Exempted Village Schools, and the board expressed regret at her departure.
The second action was the board’s unanimous approval for Superintendent John Zucal to enter into an agreement with Carrollton Exempted Village Schools to hire Ketchum at a per diem rate for two days per week, if Carrollton is agreeable.
The next regular meeting of the Conotton Valley Board will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. in the administrative office conference room.
