Wooster City Schools school resource officers are putting together spring break boxes for students to take home over the school holiday. The community is invited to help fill the boxes so that all students will have meals, snacks and needed hygiene items.

School Resource Officer April Teichmer said the biggest needs are deodorant, cereal and mac-and-cheese cups.

There is an Amazon wish list available for easy donating: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/397YLTWP156SC?ref_=wl_share.

Folks may also purchase items and drop them off at any of several Wooster locations.

There is a table set up in the Safety Center lobby, 3333 Burbank Road. Items can be left at all times of day or night.

Donations can also be dropped off at the high school, 515 Oldman Road, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., or the Professional Development Center (corner of Oldman and Oak Hill) during the same time period.

Monetary donations can be made out to Wooster City School District with a memo of Generals Closet/Resources and mailed to:

Any items received after the spring break boxes are sent home will still be put to good use and added to the student pantry for when students return. These foods are available for kids to snack on during the day or take home.
