Wayne SWCD election to fill 2 board positions beginning in 2026
Eligible Wayne County voters can cast ballots in person or absentee through Nov. 5; four candidates are running.
In accordance with Chapter 940 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Ohio Soil & Water Conservation Commission will hold an election to elect two supervisors to fill the expiring terms of Dustin Ramsier and Scott Stoller. The supervisors will be elected for three-year terms, beginning Jan. 1, 2026.
Candidates running for the Wayne SWCD Board of Supervisors are Marissa Dillon, Tate Emerson, Matt Falb and Tom White. Bios for each of the candidates can be found at www.wayneswcd.org.
Individuals who own or occupy land within Wayne County and are 18 years of age or older may vote for supervisors. There are three ways an eligible voter can cast a ballot:
—At the Supervisor Election and annual breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 8-10 a.m. at Sonnenberg Village, 13497 Hackett Road, Apple Creek.
—At the Wayne SWCD office during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Nov. 5.
—Voting absentee through Nov. 5. Call the Wayne SWCD office at 330-263-5376 or email shiller2@wayneohio.org to request a ballot and voter eligibility form. Absentee ballots submitted via mail must arrive at the Wayne SWCD office by 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 5. Eligible voters must complete a ballot application in its entirety for validation.
