Wayne Center for the Arts recently announced music supplies are now available for purchase at its front desk through a new partnership with Pellegrino Music Center.
For 55 years Pellegrino Music Center has been a family-owned resource for musicians across Northeast Ohio, offering instruments, repairs, lessons and accessories from its Canton showroom. This collaboration brings those same products and services to the Wooster community.
Following the closure of Larry’s Music, WCA has expanded its music offerings to fill the gap for local students and families. Under the leadership of music coordinator Beth Negro, the program now offers lessons in strings, piano, voice, woodwinds, brass, percussion, guitar and music composition.
“It’s wonderful to hear the sound of lessons filling the building again,” Negro said. “We now have nearly 60 students each month, kids and adults alike, and it’s such a joy to see the program grow.”
WCA’s new in-house shop features items such as reeds, cork grease, slide and valve oils, strings, instrument cleaning kits, and a selection of music books — all available for purchase at the front desk. Every sale directly supports the WCA’s music program and helps fund its continued growth.
Looking ahead, the music team plans to expand even further by introducing music therapy offerings next year.
Supplies are available for purchase at the front desk during Wayne Center for the Arts' regular business hours: Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Information about music lessons and class offerings can be found at www.WayneArtsCenter.org/Music.
