Pianist Halida Dinova to perform in Wooster
Internationally acclaimed artist to grace Wayne Center for the Arts March 14
Internationally acclaimed pianist Halida Dinova will perform at 7 p.m. March 14 at Wayne Center for the Arts in Wooster as part of the Wayne Center Presents Concert Series.

Wayne Center for the Arts will welcome internationally acclaimed pianist Halida Dinova to the Wayne Center auditorium at 7 p.m. March 14 as part of the Wayne Center Presents Concert Series. Known for her poetic interpretations and technique, Dinova brings an international career to downtown Wooster.
Based in Cleveland, Dinova has performed and recorded with some of Europe’s finest orchestras and has toured extensively throughout North and South America, Europe and Russia. As a recitalist she has presented cycles of works by composers such as Schubert, Chopin and Scriabin while also championing contemporary music by composers including Sofia Gubaidulina, Alfred Schnittke and György Ligeti.
Her recordings for labels including DOREMI, NAXOS, NAVONA, CHANDOS and CANTIUS Classics have received critical acclaim, with The Plain Dealer praising her playing.
Dinova’s career has included performances in major cultural centers such as Berlin, London and St. Petersburg, as well as appearances at international festivals including the Edinburgh International Festival and the Orford International Festival in Canada. She also is a respected educator, having taught at Cleveland State University and at international summer programs in China and New Zealand.
A Steinway Artist, Dinova holds advanced degrees from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, the Nazib Zhiganov Conservatory in Kazan and the Cleveland Institute of Music. Her scholarly work on composer Ernest Bloch earned her a Ph.D. in music history from the Kazan State Conservatory.
