Orrville Public Library offers fall lineup of creative and interactive programs
From frosted glass crafts and pop art projects to mystery discussions and a family puzzle challenge, the library’s November calendar features hands-on fun for all ages.
Those age 16 and older are invited to bring a clean bottle or jar to Orrville Public Library’s next Coffee & Crafts session to make a frosted glass decoration. The group will meet Thursday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m.
Registration for this free event will begin Oct. 23. Register by clicking the event on the website calendar at www.orrville.lib.oh.us or by calling the information desk at 330-683-1065.
Kids in third grade through sixth grade will explore Keith Haring’s style of pop art at Orrville Public Library’s next Crafternoon on Friday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. Crafternoons are held monthly for kids to explore a variety of techniques and art styles. Projects vary each month.
Registration is required and will begin Friday, Oct. 24. Register by clicking the event on the website calendar or by calling the children’s department at 330-683-1065.
Participants can attend the first in Orrville Public Library’s Mystery Monday series and see if they can solve the case. The group will meet Monday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. No registration is needed. The group also will choose the books, podcasts and documentaries for upcoming meetings.
This free series is for age 19 and over. Future dates are Nov. 17, Jan. 26, Feb. 23, March 16 and April 20.
Families are invited to Orrville Public Library’s next Speed Puzzling event. Assemble a team of four people (all ages welcome) and race to complete an identical 500-piece puzzle, donated by Ravensburger. The team that completes the puzzle first will win a small prize. The family speed puzzle challenge will begin Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m.
This event is limited to five teams, each with four people. Registration is required and will begin Saturday, Oct. 25. Appoint one person from each team to register the group. Registration can be completed on the website calendar or by calling the information desk.
