Local residents experience fluctuating temperatures and unexpected snow

Houses are having a hard time this March. First of all, Mother Nature led us all to believe spring had sprung. When the temperatures went up and we had rain instead of snow, it was so misleading. Then it got cold again, and some snow fell. Our house felt so ill-treated.
Then it got warm again, and the grass got greener, and it felt like spring, but our house was nervous. Today it’s cold, and the wind is strong and loud, and I saw a squirrel blown off its feet as it ran toward the tree. All this didn’t surprise our house, though it did make her nervous. She knew things could get a lot worse, but fortunately, this time it did not.

There needs to be a natural law requiring the seasons to change without interference from other seasons. That would make Mother Nature’s job so much easier and much more dependable. When spring arrives, winter is forbidden from sneaking in lower temperatures. Also, when spring has officially arrived, snow is forbidden; only rain is allowed. Unfortunately, there is no such law for Earth’s seasons. They try to get along, and generally, they do, but when they have different opinions, they don’t.
Yelling and complaining will not make the snow stop, nor will they make the temperature go up. Just accept the cold and snow, trusting it will be snowless and warmer in the next few days. Our house has learned to appreciate snow like a blanket on her roof. Wise house. We all must remember the arrival of spring is not all blue skies and sunny days. It also brings storms with lightning, wind and thunder. Eventually, spring will arrive and stay until she welcomes lovely summer.
Understand Mother Nature has been handling the seasons forever and always brings winter, summer, fall and spring into our world without fail. Have I mentioned it’s always very wise not to speak ill of Mother Nature, no matter what the season or the weather? She has a temper!
