B&B Theatres, the nation’s largest family-owned cinema chain, announced the acquisition of the former Cinemark theater located at 4108 Burbank Road in Wooster. The location will undergo a comprehensive remodel and reintroduction as a premium moviegoing destination for the community.
Wooster marks B&B Theatres’ third entertainment location in Ohio, joining its existing theatres in Macedonia and Liberty Township, and represents the company’s continued investment in bringing elevated theatrical experiences to growing markets.
Plans for the Wooster location include a full-scale renovation of the facility, highlighted by a completely redesigned concession experience, refreshed lobby and interior finishes and a variety of premium amenities. Guests can expect the addition of B&B Theatres’ signature heated, electric leather recliners in every auditorium. The theatre will also feature an expanded food and beverage program, including a full-service bar and B&B’s popular made-to-order Food-to-Go menu, offering a wide selection of elevated concession fare, such as chicken tenders, fries, onion rings, burgers, flatbread pizzas and more.
A major centerpiece of the upgrade will be the installation of the B&B Theatres Grand Screen, the company’s premium large-format experience, delivering exceptional picture quality and immersive sound for today’s biggest films on one of the nation’s biggest screens. Additional enhancements are planned and will be announced at a later date.
“Wooster is a growing and vibrant community, and so much about it aligns perfectly with our company and values," B&B Theatres President Brock Bagby said. "We are looking forward to updating this hometown cinema to the B&B standard and reintroducing the magic of the movies to Wooster in a brand new way.”
B&B Theatres will share updates on construction progress, opening timelines and new offerings in the coming months. For more information, visit bbtheatres.com or follow B&B Theatres on social media at @bbtheatres.
