Learn about therapy dogs Oct. 23 at Wooster library program
Caring Therapy Canines coordinator Brenda Ziegler will discuss pet therapy benefits, training and safety around dogs
Therapy dogs and more is the subject of a presentation on Thursday, Oct. 23 in the Wayne County Public Library conference room, beginning at 7 p.m.
Brenda Ziegler, area coordinator of Caring Therapy Canines, will lead off a program about the many benefits of pets and pet therapy. With dogs in tow, members of the organization will demonstrate training and testing of pets.
This presentation is sponsored by the Wooster Friends of the Library, which will hold a brief meeting at 7 p.m.
Ziegler wants to emphasize the difference between service dogs and therapy dogs and the proper behavior around dogs to prevent bites.
In addition to a Q-and-A period, there will be time to watch dogs doing tricks. The program will conclude with a free raffle.
