Jarrett opens new warehouse in Wooster
The 408,000-square-foot facility boosts Jarrett's logistics network and sustainability efforts in Wayne County
Jarrett, an award-winning third-party logistics provider, announced the official opening of its newest warehouse facility, encompassing 408,000 square feet, located at Wooster’s Innovation Park. The opening marks a milestone for the company, pushing its total warehouse footprint over 1 million square feet and further strengthening its national distribution network.
“Reaching over a million square feet is a direct result of the partnerships we’ve built with our customers over the past 26 years," said Mike Jarrett, founder, president and CEO of Jarrett. "The Wooster facility gives us the capacity and technology to continue delivering the level of service our clients expect as their supply chains grow."
The newly constructed Wooster facility features a cloud-based Warehouse Management System, jPICK, which offers real-time shipment visibility tools and full API and EDI integration through the company’s Jarrett LINC technology, enabling seamless connectivity with customers’ existing platforms. The facility also is expected to obtain food-grade certification, broadening the range of industries Jarrett can serve at this location.
“The Wooster facility was designed from the ground up with our customers’ needs in mind," said Aaron Nussbaum, vice president of logistics operations at Jarrett. "Pairing our world-class technology with our hard-working employees allows us to deliver the real-time visibility and seamless execution that today’s shippers demand, along with the flexibility to scale alongside them."
The Wooster warehouse will have rooftop solar panels installed later this year, which will make it the largest fully solar-powered building in Wayne County. A rooftop solar array, motion-sensor LED lighting, high R-value insulation and a fleet of electric forklifts give the facility an industry-leading sustainability profile. For supply chain customers with ESG commitments, the facility provides a verifiable, low-carbon warehousing option backed by clean energy infrastructure.
With this newest Wooster location opening, Jarrett now operates over 1 million square feet of warehouse space across Ohio, Pennsylvania and Utah. The new facility extends the company’s Midwest presence and works in collaboration with Jarrett’s nearby Orrville headquarters and 24/7/365 Jarrett Routing Center, providing continuous shipment visibility and execution support for customers from the eastern seaboard to the West Coast.
