Historical society to host demonstrations and tours May 16

The Smithville Community Historical Society will host its Artisan Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16.

The event invites visitors to step back in time and experience live artisan demonstrations, including blacksmithing, tinsmithing, spinning and weaving, leather crafting, and Beyond The Brush make-and-take wooden rustic flags for $10.

All buildings in the historic village will be open for tours. The event is free and open to the public.
