The Dover Public Library will showcase the unique work of local artist Penny Gamble in its large display case throughout the month of August.

Gamble specializes in fiber art, using various fabrics and textiles to create whimsical and creative pieces. Her work highlights the imaginative possibilities of textile materials as an artistic medium.

“We are extremely proud to feature Ms. Gamble's work,” said Steven Shroyer, library assistant and display case curator for the adult department. “One of our patrons mentioned her art to me, and I had a chance to connect with her at our Linda Castillo event in June. I'm simply amazed by the level of creativity and craftsmanship.”

The library encourages members of the public with interesting collections or displays to contact the library about future opportunities.

The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St. For more information, call 330-343-6123.
