We’ve all experienced the stress of the holidays. If you could just get away for a little while, find some peace and nourish your soul during this time of year — give your mind a rest. The Medina Library has found a way to help you this season.
The library is hosting an art show titled Artists Sharing the Gift of Art, featuring 10 local artists representing a variety of mediums and styles. Stop in and spend some time taking in the exhibit. A little time looking over the art can help you escape the holiday hustle and bustle.
Art teacher Carol Kessel of the Medina Art League organized the show, gathering her artist friends, associates and students for this holiday event. The featured artists are Karen Martin, Bernie D’Ettore, Denise Benko, Gail Martonicz, Kim Sparks, Ann Ladd Worthington, Carol Kessel, Jan Movsesian, Wanda Rookard and Deborah Zemanek.

To meet the artists, attend one of two receptions at the library: Saturday, Dec. 13, from noon to 4 p.m., or Sunday, Dec. 14, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The receptions will be held on the library’s third floor and offer a great opportunity to talk with the artists about their work.
While visiting, you might find a piece that would make a perfect holiday gift. Art appreciates in value and provides visual pleasure throughout the year.
The exhibit opens Friday, Dec. 12, and runs through Jan. 15. Take some time to stroll through the display, treat yourself to a little visual pleasure and perhaps discover the perfect gift for someone special.
