Medina High School names November Students of the Month

Medina High School proudly announces that seniors Addison Slaw and Louis Strong have been named the Kiwanis November Students of the Month.

Addison carries herself with quiet confidence and leads by example through her integrity, work ethic and determination. She has excelled in a rigorous schedule of Advanced Placement, Honors and College Credit Plus courses, earning the Medina High School Academic Distinction Award, summa cum laude, in each of her first three years.

Addison is involved in the National Honor Society, Math League, Best Buddies and is a varsity football cheerleader as well as a competitive dancer with Dancexcel Medina. She works at Brookdale Medina South and volunteers with Top Soccer, supporting athletes with special needs. After graduation, she plans to study engineering. She is the daughter of Matthew and Lauri Slaw.

Louis is known for his personable nature and dedication to making others feel valued. He is a commended student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program and has also earned the Medina High School Academic Distinction Award, summa cum laude, for three consecutive years while taking Advanced Placement, Honors and College Credit Plus courses.

He is active in the National Honor Society, HUDDLE, Math League, Fellowship of Christian Students and Men’s Chorus. A committed member of Scouting America, Louis has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, completing a major service project that refurbished the 4-H Headquarters at the Medina County Fairgrounds.

Louis is also an accomplished musician with the Medina Musical Bees, serving in multiple leadership roles and performing in the Symphony Band, Jazz Band and the Pit Band. He is a founding member of Sax and the City, which recently performed at the South Town Arts & Music Festival 2025. Louis plans to study mechanical engineering and is the son of Jonathan and Renee Strong.
