The Medina County Historical Society will host a special historical presentation examining Danny Greene and the Cleveland mob scene of the 1970s.

Historian Dennis Sutcliffe will discuss Greene’s rise to prominence as an Irish-American mobster who challenged the Italian-American crime family and formed his own violent organization, a conflict that led Cleveland to become known nationally as “Bomb City USA.”

The one-hour program will be held Saturday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. in Root Candle’s Bee Culture Conference Room, 640 W. Liberty St., Medina. Parking is available across the street. The event is free and open to the public.
