Write-in candidates to decide Knox ESC board election

Election of the five-member Governing Board of the Knox County Educational Service Center on Nov. 4 will be by write-in ballots.

The Knox County Board of Elections has certified general election ballot language as follows:

Vote for no more than 3 – Term commencing on 01/01/2026

Vicki Bechtel (write-in), Fredericktown

Kenneth Boeshart (write-in), Danville

Thomas Groshong (write-in), Fredericktown

Rebecca Nourse (write-in), Howard

Vote for no more than 2 – Unexpired term to end 12/31/2027

Laurie Gallwitz (write-in), Howard

Robert Bruce Gregg (write-in), Fredericktown

The Knox ESC operates preschools in Mount Vernon, Centerburg, East Knox and Fredericktown and The Learning Center, a K-12 alternative school in Mount Vernon.

In addition, Knox ESC provides direct services to the Centerburg, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, Mount Vernon and Clear Fork public school districts, including the vetting and hiring of aproximately200 classroom aides.
