WNZR 90.9 FM, a broadcast ministry of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, is preparing for Lifeline 2026. This annual fundraising effort, April 8-13, is an opportunity for listeners to pledge their support to WNZR.

This year’s goal is $75,000, and the theme is "God Did It!" based on the song by Micah Tyler. The theme verse for Lifeline 2026 is Psalm 115:1 – Not to us, Lord, not to us but to Your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. (NIV). This verse reminds us that everything accomplished through WNZR is ultimately for God’s glory. He is the one who opens doors, provides resources, and changes hearts.

“Our theme 'God Did It!' takes me down a path of beautiful memories. I can see God’s faithfulness for over four decades to this radio ministry. The timeline of WNZR is filled with answered prayers, changed lives, and God’s unwavering goodness,” said Marcy Rinehart, WNZR Station Manager and co-host of The Morning Thing. “I am so grateful for the faithful support of our donors that have walked this path with us. Their prayers and generosity have helped carry forward the dream that began with a group of students in 1982, and together we have seen God accomplish far more than we ever expected. As we approach our station’s 40th anniversary, I’m excited to celebrate all that has happened over the years. When we look at the impact and the journey, the theme says it best: God Did It!"

“The statement and song, God Did It! makes me focus on gratitude and humility. It reminds me that I would have nothing without God’s presence in my life. When there was nothing, God spoke, and then there was EVERYTHING. He literally put the stars in the sky, the earth beneath our feet, and the breath in our lungs”, said Joe Rinehart, MVNU’s Director of Broadcasting, Program Director for Communication and Media and co-host of WNZR’s Afternoon Drive. “ I am grateful to have a life where I can encourage and point others towards Him. So many times, we get caught in our own accomplishments, when the humble reality is that we would have nothing without God. When I think about the fact that the Almighty creator of the universe made us in His image, and calls us His daughters and sons, I can declare that He deserves all the glory, honor and praise!”

“To me, this song is about remembering God’s presence and faithfulness through the many trials and triumphs life throws at you. When I’ve walked through hard seasons, it has been so tempting to let loneliness, doubt, and fear creep into my mind. Yet, in hindsight I can see the mighty hand of God closing doors and opening new doors with new opportunities”, said Brock Hankins, a junior Communication & Media (Digital Media) Major from Mount Vernon. “My favorite lyric in this song is ‘Who’s always making a way? Let me hear the whole church say … God Did It!’ God, in His omnipotent way, has a perfect plan for each of us, so when He brings us through hardships, we can look back with gratitude and say GOD DID IT!”

“God Did It! helps me to be grateful as it reminds me of everything God has done in my life and every season that He has brought me through. He is faithful and He will continue to change our lives in ways we could never expect.” said Odessa Wellman, a sophomore Communication & Media (Digital Media) Major from Bucyrus.
