New officers were recently selected for the Arrowhead District, Muskingum Valley Council, Scouting America.
The Arrowhead District covers Knox, Coshocton, and a portion of Tuscarawas counties in Ohio. The District Committee announced its newly elected and appointed leadership team for 2026, dedicated to preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Laws. At the Feb. 18, annual meeting, committed volunteers stepped forward to provide Scouting America’s programs in the Arrowhead District.

Arrowhead District Leadership Team
District Chair — Stephanie Broerman will lead the District Committee volunteers as they work to achieve theirgoals and enhance the Scouting program in Arrowhead District. Broerman currently is serving as the Chartered Organization Representative for the new Family Troop 350 in Fredericktown. Broerman is a Scout Mom, quilter, and a fan of all things Freddy.
District Commissioner — Jeff Derr as the District Commissioner oversees the health of the Cub Scout Packs, Scout Troops, Explorer Posts and Venturing Crews. Derr is active with Cub Scout Pack 339, Scout Troop 339, and Venturing Crew 344 in Knox County. Derr was born and raised in Mount Vernon and is a graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Derr is the Recreation Director for Mount Vernon and is an Eagle Scout.
District Membership Chair — Susan Musgrave will lead the recruiting efforts for the district. Currently Musgrave is active with Troops 350, Troop 382, and Troop 1350 in Knox County. Musgraves is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Knox Community Hospital. She is a proud mother of an Eagle Scout.
District Program Chair — Patrick Adams will be working with other Arrowhead volunteers to develop various activities for Scouts including the Pinewood Derby, Twilight Cub Camp, Camporees, and other special events. Adam is the recent recipient of the Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award for involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for youth from rural and urban backgrounds.
District Advancement Chair – Frank O’Hare has volunteered to lead the Youth Advancement and Adult Recognition Committee including the oversight of the Eagle Scout Board of Reviews after serving as the Council Commissioner for two years. In 2023, the Boy Scouts of America awarded O’Hare the honor and rank of Distinguished Eagle Scout.
