Offensive explosion leads Centerburg softball to pair of wins
Trojans have double-digit hit totals in wins over Fairbanks, Northmor

Offense has been the name of the game in Centerburg
recently.
The Centerburg softball team pounded out 12 hits in beating
Fairbanks, 11-1, on April 3.

Abby Herren led the assault with a home run, double and two
singles. Sydnee Schoonover added two singles, a double and three RBI, while
Jazmyn Larimore had a home run, single and drove in four. Taylor Bryant had two
singles and Morgan Beaver one.
Beaver allowed just three hits in the complete game victory
for Centerburg. She struck out four batters.
The Trojans followed that up with 10 hits in an 11-1 victory
over Northmor on Tuesday. CHS erupted for four runs in the third and six in the
fifth to capture the victory.
Herren led the Trojans with a home run, single and two RBI.
Schoonover added a grand slam and a single, while Lydia Gribben had two
singles. Bryant, Larimore, Kallie Webb and Kinlie Sharp all singled.
Beaver went the distance on the mound, fanning eight.

Centerburg managed just two hits in falling to Northmor,
5-1, on Tuesday.
Vinny Morgan and Dustin Parker had the hits for the Trojans,
both singles.
Bradley Baker started on the hill for CHS, fanning four in
five innings of work. Clarke Redd finished up, striking out three.
