The free 24/7 service connects residents to food pantries, meal programs and essential community resources with one call or text.

If you or someone you know is struggling to afford groceries or find meals, help is just a phone call away. By dialing 211 or texting their zip code to 898211, residents can connect to local food pantries, meal programs, and emergency food assistance resources throughout the community.

211 is a free, confidential service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Trained specialists listen with care and quickly connect callers to programs that can help with food, housing, utilities, and other essential needs.

“No one should have to choose between paying bills and buying food,” said Kristin McCloud, Executive Director of Pathways of Central Ohio. “211 makes it easy to find local support so families don’t have to go hungry.”

211 is a nationwide information and referral service that connects individuals and families to essential community resources. Operated locally by Pathways of Central Ohio, 211 helps residents navigate available assistance with compassion and confidentiality. It is funded in part by Mental Health and Recovery for Licking and Knox Counties and the United Way of Knox County.
