Mount Vernon FFA Ag Power Diagnostics team earns 6th place at district competition
Students secure sixth place at district event in Plain City, showcasing technical skills and teamwork.
The Mount Vernon FFA Ag Power Diagnostics team spent the day recently competing at the John Deere Training Facility in Plain City, where they earned a sixth-place finish at the district level.
During the competition, team members were challenged to troubleshoot five different pieces of equipment based on simulated customer complaints. Each piece of machinery contained two separate issues, and the team had just 20 minutes per station to work together to diagnose the problems and determine the appropriate fixes.
The event tested students’ technical knowledge, teamwork, and problem-solving skills under real-world time constraints.
Team members competing included Weston Elliott, Zachary Busenburg, and Koby McClain. Their strong performance reflects the hands-on skills and dedication they have developed through agricultural education and FFA involvement.
