Knox County Indivisible to host Town Hall

Knox County Indivisible will hold a Town Hall on Saturday, Aug. 23,  from 2-4 p.m. in Mount Vernon to address pressing issues facing veterans and the broader community in Ohio's 12th Congressional District.

Representative Troy Balderson (OH-12) was invited to attend and speak at the event but declined.

“We believe it's vital for our elected officials to hear directly from the people they represent. Even without Rep. Balderson, we are moving forward to give our community the opportunity to speak up, ask questions, and be heard," said Meg Galipault, founder of Knox County OH Indivisible.

The event will feature guest speakers:

— Jerrad Christian: Glouster, Ohio native, U.S. Navy veteran, and former candidate for U.S. Congress.

— Ken Harbaugh: Former President of Team Rubicon, U.S. Navy veteran, and former candidate for U.S. Congress.

— Mason Blankenship: U.S. Marine Corps veteran affiliated with Save A Warrior, a nonprofit serving active duty military, returning veterans, and first responders living with PTSD. Blankenship is running for Ohio House.

Seating is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Knox County residents are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.

The Town Hall will also be streamed live on Facebook for those unable to attend in person. Streaming details will be provided closer to the date.
