The board looked at several factors before making the decision to modify polling locations. More Knox County voters now vote before election day, through absentee voting by mail or through the early vote center. The new locations chosen increase accessibility through improved parking and handicap access. Additionally, the consolidation of polling locations reduces the wear and tear on our equipment, therefore reducing costs for the county.
