Fredericktown hoopsters cruise to victory over Northmor
A dominant second quarter secures 64-57 win for Freddies on Jan. 30.
A 24-5 advantage in the second quarter helped propel the Fredericktown boys’ basketball team to a 64-57 victory over Northmor on Jan. 30.
The Freddies trailed 15-13 after one quarter but exploded in the second to pull out the victory.
Tanner Estep led the Freddies with 18 points on 7 of 10 shooting, including 4 of 4 from 3-point land. Carson Rinehart added 17 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Zane Luckmeier had 12 points and eight rebounds. Gavin Toombs checked in with eight points and eight rebounds.
Bowling
The Fredericktown bowling teams split with visiting Crestline on Jan. 29.
The boys’ team walloped the Bulldogs, 1,806-1,423. Jordan Moore led the Freddies with a 462 series (237-225). Mason Gearhart had a high game of 245 en route to a 407 series.
The Freddie girls battled with Crestline before falling, 1,592-1,545. Shae A led the Freddies with a 270 series (146-124). Pilar Payne added a 261 (147-114), while Maddie Bartlett shot 253 (140-113) and Raegan B had 246 (127-119).
