Final coffeehouse for winter set for March 29
Echo will bring music of the 1960s, '70s to First Congregational Church of Christ
First Congregational United Church of Christ, located at 200 N. Main St. Mount Vernon, is hosting a final coffeehouse in the winter series on Sunday, March 29, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
The March coffeehouse will support AIDS Walk Ohio which will be held on Saturday, April 18. AIDS Walk Ohio raises awareness and critical funds in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Donations will be accepted to support thousands of Ohioans who will gather at Genoa Park in downtown Columbus to walk, run or roll for this important cause.
Doors will open at 4 p.m. There will be an open mic sign up from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Echo, our featured artists group, will take the stage at 5:45 p.m.
Echo is a trio consisting of Chris Petee, Jeff Putnam and Heather Petee. All three are veterans of the music scene in Knox County and each has over 25 years of experience performing solo and in various groups. Their voices blend in three-part harmonies and solo work highlighting folk and soft rock selections from the 1960’s, ‘70’s and ‘80’s with a full set consisting of the music of Peter, Paul and Mary.
