Experience Mount Vernon will once again honor the service and sacrifice of Knox County’s veterans and active-duty military members through its Military Appreciation Banner Program, to be displayed in downtown Mount Vernon in recognition of Veterans Day 2025.
Community members, non-profit organizations, and businesses are invited to sponsor a banner as a way to show gratitude and support those who have served or are serving. Sponsorships are available now and will remain open through Sept. 19. Banners will be prominently displayed downtown leading up to and during Veterans Day, serving as a visual reminder of the courage, dedication, and service of our military.
“We are honored to provide the community with this meaningful way to recognize and remember our local heroes,” said Experience Mount Vernon Executive Director Lacey Filkins. “These banners not only beautify our downtown but also stand as a testament to the pride we share in our veterans and service members.”
Sponsorship Information (limit two banners per family/organization/business):
— Businesses: $275 for the first sponsorship and $200 for subsequent renewals.
— Non-profits: $175 for the first sponsorship and $125 for subsequent renewals.
— Individuals/Families: $175 for the first sponsorship and $125 for subsequent renewals.
